Twenty-year-old jazz vocalist and bassist Kate Davis has the kind of voice that makes us swoon. An artist far more mature than her years, she captures the expressive interpretations of the jazz divas of the 1940’s and 50’s. Her first-rate band provides a swinging and sophisticated sound, and her ability to play and sing in counter-rhythms is like nothing you’ve ever heard. Perfect, romantic, classic jazz for Valentine’s Day: close your eyes and you’re in the Cafe Carlyle, 1955.
