From the Great Wall of China to packed auditoriums in the Holy Land and more recently being the first Irish band to perform at the greatest music festival in the world, "Rock in Rio" in front of an estimate audience of two hundred and forty thousand people, Dervish have come a long way in seventeen years. One of our favorite Irish bands, Dervish plays traditional music with an original flair, punctuated by the gorgeously pure soprano of lead singer Cathy Jordan. Cathy is also a witty and charming raconteur with a stage presence that defies characterization. If you've seen them once, you'll be back, if you are new to the delights of Dervish, you'll become lifelong fans. They are a blast!
