“Superlatively played by the eponymous musicians as well as being deeply moving” (Wigmore Hall, London) - ClassicalSource.com

One of the world’s leading piano quartets, the visionary FAURÉ QUARTETT is highly regarded for its experiments and discoveries, from performances with the NDR Big Band, to collaborations with Rufus Wainwright and Sven Helbig, to appearances in clubs such as the Berghain and “Le Poisson Rouge,“ to appearances on children‘s TV shows to get them excited about classical music.  The Fauré has received numerous international competition awards and has appeared in concert throughout Europe and the Americas.  A signed Deutsche Grammophon ensemble, the quartet has also received awards and recognition for benchmark recordings of works by Mozart, Brahms, Mendelssohn, and pop songs from Peter Gabriel and Steely Dan. The members teach at the universities of Berlin and Essen, are Artistic Directors of “Festspielfrüling Rügen,“ and are the Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Music Karlsruhe, Germany. The program includes piano quartets by Mahler, Fauré, and Brahms.
