The JERUSALEM TRIO has established a major international career based on thoughtful and passionate music making. An award-winning piano trio, the ensemble has thrilled audiences in the US, Canada, Japan, Germany, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, and South America. The Jerusalem Trio maintains a steady schedule of recitals, orchestral performances, and festival appearances, and the members are also faculty of the Rubin Music Academy at the Jerusalem Hebrew University. The exceptionally accomplished and charismatic clarinetist for the Imani Winds, MARIAM ADAM, will be appearing with the Jerusalem Trio for a very special performance of Messaien’s Quartet for the End of Time, which was written in 1942 for this odd combination of instruments – the only instruments at the composer’s disposal – while Messaien was in a Prisoner of War camp in Germany. Also on the program are Haydn’s “Gypsy” Piano Trio No. 39 and Brahms’ Clarinet Trio, Op. 114.
