Like the recently heard Morgenstern Trio, the Atos Trio is another rising star on the European and international chamber music scenes. Winners of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson International Trio Award in 2007, the trio went on to acquire all four top prizes at the Melbourne Chamber Music Competition that same year: an honor never before accomplished by a single ensemble. The Detroit Press proclaimed “Three voices — one sound: The kind of pitch-perfect unanimity of phrasing, tone, feeling and interpretation that distinguishes the finest chamber ensembles.” For us, they will perform a French program entitled “A Spring Morning,” featuring works by Fauré, Chaminade, Boulanger, Françaix, and Debussy.
