U.S. Route 2 Spur in South Burlington

Date:: 1965-07-23
Description:: This black and white photograph documents the intersection of Hinesburg Road (Vermont Route 116) and Kennedy Drive (the U.S. Route 2 Spur) in South Burlington. Hinesburg Road passes from left to right across the image. A few traffic signs are posted along a grassy median that protrudes into the foreground of the image on the near side of Hinesburg Road. Kennedy Drive extends off the far side of the first highway and curves into the background. Another large cluster of traffic signs stands on a grassy median on the far side of the intersection. A thick forest of conifers and deciduous trees grows along the right side of Kennedy Drive. The season is summer.
