This is a black and white aerial photo of Waterbury. There is a railroad track that is going directly through Waterbury. There are also paved roads in other various locations in this photo. There are long industrial buildings in the bottom right corner of the picture. Waterbury is densely populated. There is a river on the right side of the photo and an open clearing beside the river. Skip Flanders writes on 2010-01-12: This photo is of Waterbury Village looking south with the Winooski river and the Central Vermont Railronad tracks going north west on the right. On the bottom left of the photo is the Farrar Addition with the streets of Butler and Wallace Street and the CCC Camp Camel's Hump. At Nine o'clock you can see the three school building with the newest addtion to the High School completed in 1939. US Route 2 also named Main Street runs through the center of the photo crossing the CV railroad tracks in the center fo the photo. The top right on the photo is Duxbury Corner and on zoom you can see the State Hospital Farm in Duxbury. The State Hospital complex can be seen at about two O'clock in the photo. The former Gov Ezra Butler House the oldest frame house in Waterbury is in the lower left corner of the photo.
