Title:
105 Hyde Street: Currently subdivided apartments
- Date:
- 2008-05
- Description:
- Stairwell to upstairs apartments, with functionally practical white sheet rock walls. No evidence of the past Judaic symbols were observed, although upon interview of one tenant, it was learned that her 90 year old grandmother actually “cleaned” the synagogue and believed the ornate ceiling and walls may have been preserved under the present sheetrock and dropped ceiling.
The only evidence remaining that this was once such a holy room is the preserved windows and hexagonal structure.
