Description:
This home which rests on a bank that was almost washed away during the flood, remains exactly as it was after the flood except that the bank has been reinforced by concrete (which also reinforces the new bridge. The bridge, which you can see in this photo, was rebuilt in the same place as it was in 1927. Snow on the ground, utility lines, and a car are visible as is forested slope and Winooski River.

This image is a screenshot from a movie made using actual footage from the 1927 flood: The Bressor home in Richmond. The bridge was rebuilt in the original position right next to the Bressor home. The house is positioned along side a river. It is a farmhouse style structure. Several deciduous trees can be seen behind the house.
