Title:
Completed Bike Path Bridge
- Date:
- 2008-04-18
- Description:
- In this picture we see a pedestrian bridge along the Burlington bike path that is adjacent to Lake Champlain. The railings are made of wood and metal, and the floor boards are wooden. As it is early spring, there are no leaves on the deciduous trees. In the background we see a series of structures that appear oil tanks. The main difference between this photo and the original is that the bridge construction has been completed.

Title:
Installing Bike Path Bridge
- Date:
- 1985-11-14
- Description:
- This image shows a section of the bicycle path bridge placed over Englesby's Ravine. The bridge connects the South End lakeside neighborhood and Oakledge Park. The bridge section is supported by a crane not visible in the picture and hangs above a previously set section of the bridge. The bridge is wooden with wooden railings on both sides. A man stands in the foreground overlooking the operation while two other men stand at the far end of the bridge directing the section. A thin leafless deciduous forest is located on both sides of the bridge and railroad tracks are visible below on the right. The men in the image are Frenchy Landry, Jim Chauvin, and Edward Manosh. The season is most likely fall.
