This is not from the same angle as the original image. This is Redstone Campus of UVM. In the background is the interstate and the University Mall as well as many houses and other residential buildings, with heavy forest scattered between, as well as Williston road on the left side. The Staples Plaza can be seen on the left side about a 1/3 of the way down the photograph, to the right are many houses along Spear Street. In front of the Spear Street homes is open land with scattered trees and on the left side athletic fields of UVM as well as the gymnasium and Gutterson Field House. In the center of the photo there is the Mason/Simpson/Hamilton & Coolidge complex, with Christie/Wright/Patterson across the quad. To the left of Coolidge is Southwick Hall which is the music building and recital hall. To the left of that is Redstone Hall. To the right of Mason/Simpson/Hamilton are three buildings with white roofs that make up the Wing/Davis/Wilks complex. The gray apartment buildings to the right of Wing/Davis/Wilks are Redstone apartments. The road that encircles the residence halls on Redstone connects to South Prospect street where there are many houses and other residence buildings. The rest of the foreground is scattered trees (both conifer and deciduous) and houses.

Description:
This is a 1976 aerial photograph of Redstone Campus and Athletic Campus of the University of Vermont. Redstone Campus is to the right side of the image shown as a grouping of buildings enclosing a grassy area with several walk ways, To the left of this, there are a few more buildings, one with white pillars and a decorative domed tower, this is the UVM music Hall, and just to the left of that is Redstone Hall. Behind these buildings there is a long semicircular building and a few boxy buildings adjacent to it, this is the UVM field house and athletic facilities. Grass fields can also be seen to the right of these structures. To the left of these buildings there are three different structures from right to left being, Harris Millis dormitory, Marsh Austin Tupper dormitories and the Living and Learning complex. Route two travels into the distance in the top left corner of the picture and Spear Street, perpendicular to route two, extends across the top of the photograph. In the foreground, there is a large residential area with lots of deciduous trees. Season is summer. UVM Campus
