Title:
Seth Johnson House
Town:
Williston
County:
Chittenden
State:
Vermont
Date:
2009-04-10
Description:
The building sits back on top of a small hill. In the foreground you can see an intersection with power lines and a few cars. The building itself is separated into three parts. There are two parts in the front. The one on the left is slightly smaller. The middle building is the largest one and has two chimney stacks. The third section of the building moves into the background and is attached perpendicular to the rest of the building. The house is painted white and has green colored roofing. Not certain this is same location as historic image or perhaps same view angle - where are barns?

Title:
Williston Farm
Town:
Williston
County:
Chittenden
State:
Vermont
Date:
1900-07
Description:
This historic photograph documents an old farm on a dirt road. This old farm consists of a large white farmhouse with numerous chimneys and wood siding. Adjacent to the farmhouse are numerous barns and outbuildings, most of which appear to sit on stone foundations. Behind the barn is a large fenced in pasture, which appears partially overgrown with shrubs and plant species. This pasture is fenced in with wire on wooden poles, which run adjacent to a grass lined earthen road. A few tall elm trees line the far side of the road along the fence. The season is most likely summer. Williston Historical Society
