Title:
St. Albans Steel Rolling Mill
Town:
St. Albans
County:
Franklin
State:
Vermont
Date:
1860 - 1900
Description:
The historic photograph shows the St. Albans steel rolling mill with an open field and wooden fencing in the foreground. The steel mill looks like a couple large industrial barns. A few smokestacks rise out of its roof. The back building has pillars lining the near side that look to be connected to the roof via cables. Do these pillars help hold up the roof? Are these more smokestacks?
