Title:
The River
Town:
Randolph
County:
Orange
State:
Vermont
Date:
2007
Description:
This photograph is taken of the White River looking North from Randolph on the main bridge into town. The trees are still bare of leaves. Some grass has turned green. The old photograph was taken during the flood of 1927, thus the water level is dramatically higher than normal. Naturally, the new photograph shows a much more normal water level. One difference between the photographs is that in the new one there appears to be many more trees lining the riverbanks. Also looking back towards the mountains there seem to be more trees. In the new photograph there is no bridge. In the new image there is a red building that can be seen on the right side of the river.
