Autumn Morning in Peacham

Title:
Autumn Morning in Peacham
Town:
Peacham
County:
Caledonia
State:
Vermont
Date:
1994
Description:
Photographer Alan L. Graham captured this strikingly vibrant autumn morning in Peacham in 1994. The image has been taken from a hill. Deciduous trees ablaze in orange, red, and yellow leaves cover the hill and fill the lower foreground of the photograph. Green rolling fields spread out at the base of the hill. A narrow road, lined with utility poles, cuts through the fields at the center of the image. The village of Peacham is clustered along the beyond the open fields. The village consists of a white, wood-frame church whose steeple rises above the treetops and several gable-roof, wood-frame buildings. Orange, red, and yellow deciduous trees grow throughout the village. A second road appears to cut across the foreground, just at the base of the hill. A wood-frame, gable-roof dwelling sits alongside the road. Forested hills spread out across the background of the image. A morning mist settles over the valley.
