State:

Date:

Description:
This image is a screenshot from a movie made using actual footage from the 1927 flood: This image is from a clip of the 1927 Flood Movie that begins with the caption "The Central Vermont R.R. was practically wrecked but through the energy and financial aid of the Canadian National R.R. was rebuilt and running again in 92 days." This shot shows workers examining the damage in Jonesville. Notice that there are two sets of tracks running side-by-side but have been separated and twisted apart in the flood. Notice also the buildings in the top right corner of the shot, those buildings would be in Jonesville. On the left of the photo is the river. The workers surveying the damage to the railroad are using horses to help them with their work.
