Title:
Aerial of St. Albans Bay
- Date:
- 1960-06-06
- Description:
- Back reads, "St. Albans Bay." The photo shows an aerial view of the St. Albans Bay with nothing but flat farmland in the background. There are a few large stands of trees to the left along the shore and then only scattered trees along borders between agricultural fields. There are a few houses and other buildings visible in the distance along roads. Paul Larner writes on 2012-09-22: This view is of the northwest portion of St. Albans town. The water at the lower portion is Lapan Ban, that at the top is the northern portion of the northwest arm of Lake Champlain. Noteable characteristics: Popsquash Island, Butler's Island, Maquam Bay and the marsh in the dark area. Farm at the center left may be Samson's former location of a hotel. Shanty Point is a ways off the left of the photo.
