Braintree Hill Brook

Title:
Braintree Hill Brook
Town:
Braintree
County:
Orange
State:
Vermont
Date:
1905?
Description:
The historic image shows the Braintree Hill Brook with boulders and small rapids. The riparian zone is forested on the right side and bare on the left side of the brook. This postcard was sent Nov. 2, 1905. The handwritten note on the card reads, "This view will make you cool so pass it along to another fool." Esther Munroe Swift writes on 2006-2-14: A good picture of how rapid the brook was and how dense the tree growth. Braintree has many brooks and streams, most of which flow down from the part of the Green Mountains which is named Braintree Mountain.
