Appleton Property Southeast View Excavated Soil

Title:
Appleton Property Southeast View Excavated Soil
Town:
Bradford
County:
Orange
State:
Vermont
Date:
1969-08-13
Description:
Taken in Bradford on the property of K.W., P.L., W.G., and K.A. Appleton, this photograph looks to the southeast at excavated soil. The land is located near Route 25. Grass covers the ground, while sand and rocks can be seen in the excavated soil. A road can just be seen in the background. Leafy deciduous and conifer trees populate the landscape, while mountains rise in the distance. John Adams writes on 2013-06-30: These series of photos are probably where Rte. 25 was proposed to go when it was widened in 1970 to 1971 just prior to I 91 coming up through a few years later. I know the former constable in Bradford; He has lived here his whole life. I am from Springfield 60 miles south of here.
