Title:
150th Anniversary Fairbanks Parade
Town:
St. Johnsbury
County:
Caledonia
State:

Date:

Description:
The Randall and Whitcomb Gift Center block on Eastern Avenue in St. Johnsbury hosts the 150th Anniversary Fairbanks Parade. A float rolls along with the banner "Help to balance a Girl's Life"; several young women stand on the fake grassy turf of the float under a wooden apparatus with an A-frame shape. Two men sit in the front of the float holding balloons and wearing felt hats; several small conifer trees surround them. A lamppost is visible behind the float and directly in front of the signs labeling the building: "Eaton REAL ESTATE Agency and Gift Center Randall & Whitcomb Books Stationary". A crowd watches from the sidewalk on main street and the balcony of the St. Johnsbury House Senior City Apartments across the way.
