- Date:
- 1900 - 1940
- Description:
- This image shows an elevated railroad trestle alongside a dirt road. In the front of the picture there is a line of deciduous trees. On the lest side of the image is the dirt road with the railroad trestle farther to the left. On the right side is a large grass clearing. Further up the road there is a small hill leading up to a few homes and a church. Deciduous trees line the back of the photo. Written on the lower right side of the image: "The other side" Waterbury Ctr. Vt. Trudy Graves writes on 2013-02-03: This photo was more than likely taken from or near to the old Seminary building in Waterbury Ctr. It is looking towards Rt. 100. The old cemetery is to the left and behind the bridge and the Waterbury Center Community church is to the right in the image. Mary Jane Grace writes on 2013-07-11: There used to be a trolley than ran between Waterbury and Stowe. Perhaps this was part of that line.
