Title:
Building a Trail on Couching Lion
- Date:
- 1919-08
- Description:
- In this historic hand-colored lanternslide, three men are show building a trail on Camel's Hump. In the foreground of the image, the land is flat and there are ferns, rocks, leafy shrubs and felled trees. Two men stand in the center wearing long pants, long-sleeved shirts and gloves. They have their hands on the trunk of a felled deciduous tree and appear to be guiding it to the ground below. Beyond the men, several smaller deciduous trees are visible. A third man is bent over clearing brush in the upper right hand corner. A steep rocky cliff can be seen on the top right.
