A red motel

Title:
A red motel
Town:
Hartford
County:
Windsor
State:
Vermont
Date:
1970 - 2008
Description:
This color photograph is of a long, red motel. The central building, which is two stories high, is flanked by two one-floor structures. There is one window and chair with each room, and the roof extends downward to cover a porch area. There is a large antenna on the top of the central building, and there is a lamp post in the grassy area in front of the building. Next to the street light is a table with an umbrella and two chairs. There is a large grassy lawn surrounding the driveway. There are large deciduous trees behind the building, and it is summer. Chris Moloney writes on 2014-12-28: This motel, located south of the VA cut-off road on Route 5, was sold and converted to a commercial building in the mid-1990s. It is now utilized by Allan's Vending Service. The main, two story brick check-in and owner's apartment still stands, as do the two wings, though the building has been renovated and the facade altered.
