Church and Field

Title:
Church and Field
Town:
Fletcher
County:
Franklin
State:
Vermont
Date:
1920 - 1940
Description:
Photograph shows a dirt road and a field in front of a white church. Note white fence at right and large deciduous shade tree at left. Esther Munroe Swift writes on 2005-1-26: This appears to be the same church, seen from a different direction, as image LS03881_000.jpg. Travis Tremblay writes on 2005-9-6: This is what is now the Fletcher Grange Hall. The Blair house as is to the left in this photo. In the background of this photo is Oak Hill or known to us locals as "Old Acorn". The pasture on the side slope is now a sugarbush operated by the Tinker Farm. My family (Corse) has lived (as the crow flies) between the grange hall and old acorn on the corner of the Metcalf Pond Road for nearly 80 years.
