Description:
This image shows East Barnet after the 1927 flood. There is a river in the center of the image with two rocky banks. There is an uprooted deciduous tree lying across the river. Note the amount of debris on the riverbanks. There is a steel bridge on the right side of the image and beyond it there are a number of wooden buildings. Note the railroad depot that is on one side as is the boarding house next to it. Beyond these buildings there is a forest of conifer trees. John Adams writes on 2013-09-14: Iron bridge is still in existance. It takes Comforford Dam Rd. from US 5 which goes along the Conn. River to Lower Waterford Village about 9 miles away before ending on Rte. 18
