Title:
Basin Harbor at Sunset
Town:
Vergennes
County:
Addison
State:
Vermont
Date:
1880 - 1920
Description:
This is a hand colored postcard of Basin Harbor at sunset. It shows a dirt road that runs along Lake Champlain. A potted flowering plant is on the right side of the road sitting in the grass. On the left side of the road, there is a group of conifer trees next to a wooden frame building. Settled into the small inlet are a few boats. Two deciduous trees are growing on the small grassy point next to the water. Across the lake, the Adirondack Mountains can be seen. Kathryn Estey Beaudry writes on 2008-09-24: Basin Harbor is actually in Panton/Vergennes area Addison County, Vermont.
