Title:
Approaching Cooley Glen
Town:
Lincoln
County:
Addison
State:
Vermont
Date:
1919-09
Description:
This hand-colored lanternslide looks up the approach to Cooley Glen lodge. Cooley Glen is a log cabin, covered with a single slanted metal roof. The other part of the roof, slanting to the right in the image, covers a small porch area supported by several wooden posts. The porch also has a wooden railing. The dirt path leading to Cooley Glen is surrounded by ferns, forest plants, and other forest debris. Coniferous and deciduous trees are visible surrounding the cabin. A man can be seen walking up the dirt path dragging a large deciduous branch behind him. Several felled logs are piled closer to the cabin. Ferns are most apparent in the immediate foreground.
