Title:
Porcupine Marks at Carmel Camp
Town:
Chittenden
County:
Rutland
State:
Vermont
Date:
1922-08
Description:
In this hand-colored lanternslide, a hand is pointing to white marks on a green painted door, which are teeth marks from a porcupine. The scratches are scattered, but the concave grooves of the boards were especially affected. The marks appear to reach the doorway, because one is able to look into Camp Carmel and see a bed on the opposite wall. The marks appear to be approximately from two to three feet high on the boards.
