Title:
Bird's-Eye View Postcard of East Burke
Town:
Burke
County:
Caledonia
State:
Vermont
Date:
1910 - 1930
Description:
Written on the bottom of the post card is "Bird's-eye View of East Burke, Vt." Other texts reads "Made in Germany for Webster & Howard, East Burke, Vt." In the foreground of the picture there are several coniferous and deciduous trees. In the center bottom, there appears to be a dam. In the main part of the picture lies the town with a neighborhood of several one, two and three-story wood framed houses and barns. Most of the structures have red or green roofs. Towards the middle of town there is a church with a large white steeple. Running through the town there appears to be a road with utility poles and lines. In and behind the town there is a large group of coniferous trees. Behind the two there are a few rolling hills. The entire landscape is green. The day is somewhat cloudy. The image seems to depict summer.
