Description:
This steroview of Red Rocks shows cliffs of sedimentary rock next to Lake Champlain. Note the stratification (layering) of these rocks and note how the rock is dipping or tilted, down to the right, in this exposure of Monkton Quartzite. There are coniferous trees and some small shrubs growing out of the rock face. The water is very still suggesting little wind or that this bay is protected.
