Title:
Contorted Railroad Track after the Flood in Passumpsic
- Date:
- 1927-11-04
- Description:
- Image shows flood ato railroad. Note that the bed of the railroad track was eroded and moved in the floodwaters, contorting the tracks. There are large gravel and boulders in and near the channel and tree stumps have been moved including entire root wads. It appears that the bridge abutments have been partially washed out. This is a metal bridge. There looks to be a rock outcrop to the left and hills in the background. A few flood plain trees remain standing.
