Title:

Town:
Mount Tabor
County:
Rutland
State:
Vermont
Date:
1959-10-10
Description:
This is a black and white photograph of Leonard L. Breton's property, located somewhere between Dorset and Danby. Mt. Tabor is pictured in the background. Grassland plants are pictured in the foreground of the image. Utility lines are pictured in the background. A paved road is seen toward the back left of the image. Railroad tracks are pictured toward the back right. Leafy conifers and deciduous trees dot he landscape pictured. A wooden-frame farm building is located toward the back left of the image. Herbert Ogden writes on 2017-01-04: The mountain in the center is Green Mountain, not Mount Tabor. It lies northeast of the only village in Mt. Tabor, which is called Brooklyn. The mountain, Mt. Tabor, actually lies in the Town of Peru. The photo appears to be roughly where US 7 now runs, and the road at the left is Griffith Hill Road, the former US 7.
