The message on the the building on the left side of the photograph reads, "Customs Stop and Report". The man is smoking and the woman has a summer dress and fancy hat on. There is a wooden building in the background. Esther Munroe Swift writes on 2006-3-24: This image shows the toll booth for the Rouses Point Bridge to New York which was completed in 1937. By the mid 1970's it was badly deteriorated and was replaced by a new bridge that opened in 1987.
