- Date:
- 1927-11-12
- Description:
- The historic image gives a bird's eye view of the town along the Winooski River. A caption at the bottom of the image reads, "11-12-27-12:00M. Winooski, Vt. - Pontoon Bridge." The Winooski River travels over a dam, past several mill buildings, and over another dam and rock outcrop as it runs through town. A pontoon bridge has been constructed where the old bridge, destroyed in the flood, connected Burlington to Winooski.
