Burlington Ice Storm
Town:
Burlington
County:
Chittenden
State:
Vermont
Date:
1998-01-10
Description:
Ice-covered trees in front of home on Mansfield Avenue. Robby Charnock writes on 2008-12-29: This photograph shows the aftermath of a 1998 ice storm in Burlington. There are two ice-caked tress with drooping and broken branches due to the heavy ice. Several power lines are tangled in the trees branches, they are also weighed down with heavy ice. Behind the trees is a beige colored two story house with a red door. The down power lines seem to connect to that house. To the left of that house is a small beige colored shed. A tall ice covered coniferous tree stands behind this house. To the right of the beige house is a white two story house. The sky is overcast, there is snow on the ground and the season is winter.
