Using Intel PROSet/Wireless on the UVM Wireless Network

Intel PROSet/Wireless is a utility for the management of Intel WiFi adapters that shipped with many Windows XP systems at UVM.  This software added support for WiFi protocols that were not integrated into the XP operating system until later.  Intel PROSet/Wireless should work with the UVM wireless network.  However, we recommend that you disable PROSet/Wireless and use the tools native to Windows XP whenever possible.  For more information of configuring XP's native wireless configuration utilities, see our Default XP wireless configuration documentation pages.
