Observed Android Oddities

The user interface is highly customizable on Android, and carriers attempt to differentiate themselves with very different layouts.  This can cause user confusion and support headaches.
 
Configuration of what should be the same application can vary between models and carriers.  We have observed additional configuration choices in the default mail application on Droid X phones from Verizon while Samsung Captivate phones from AT&T do not show them.
