Whitelisting Email Senders

Many vendors will ask that UVM "whitelist" their domain or specific email addresses, which means add those addresses to a list that is exempt from the incoming email scanning so that their email messages will not be marked as junk or spam.

As a matter of policy, UVM does not whitelist addresses or domains outside

We encourage vendors to consider implementing DKIM signatures to provide a level of assurance that mail sent from their domain is legitimate.

We are happy to work with departments and vendors to review sample messages and to see whether they are likely to be marked as junk mail, and to make recommendations about the content of messages in order to reduce the likelihood of a message being marked as junk mail.
