Software Services

Administrative Software and Application Services

• The ETS department of Enterprise Application Services developes for and supports operational offices in their use of administrative software and business information systems, such as those used by the Registrar, Human Resources, and Student Financial Services offices. Together with the ETS Systems Administration and Architecture department, EAS provides the tools and support that help to keep the university's administrative offices running.

Archive and Download Services

• Software Download Archive: this library of recommended, supported, and campus-licensed downloadable software is updated and maintained by Client Services with programming and development supplied by Academic Computing.

Computer Software Pre-installation and Configuration Services

• Computers purchased from the Computer Depot have UVM supported, recommended, and/or licensed software preinstalled and preconfigured for use at UVM as a joint effort between the ETS Client Services and Computer Depot departments.

Software Licensing Services

• Licensed Software: ETS purchases and acts as steward for many campus-wide licensed software packages such as our antivirus software and software titles covered under the Microsoft Campus Agreement, as well as voicemail and telephone systems software. Various licenses are managed by all ETS departments.
