Running MacOS Lion and PGP Desktop? Don't install the 10.7.4 update yet
- By Dean Jay Williams
The following caution came to ETS from Apple today:
Mac OS 10.7.4 became available today. I've heard from a number of institutions who have been testing Symantec PGP Endpoint with dev versions of 10.7.4 that the upgrade breaks it.
Prior to sanctioning the update to 10.7.4 users I would advise them to at the very least be certain to have a solid backup, or perhaps hold off until they can ensure 10.7.4 is supported by Symantec.
If your computer is running Lion, and it is encrypted with PGP Desktop, ETS is advising that you hold off on installing the MacOS X 10.7.4 update until the Systems Architecture and Administration group has had a chance to do some testing and report back.
