David Shiman

Bio: 

Dr. Shiman received his doctorate in comparative education from U.C.L.A. He teaches courses in comparative education, multicultural education, and sociology of education and directs a global and multicultural curriculum resource center at the University of Vermont.
Dr. Shiman has written curriculum resource books entitled The Prejudice Book, Teaching Human Rights, Economic and Social Justice: A Human Rights Perspective, and Human Rights Here and Now (coauthor). He has worked and conducted research in Tanzania, Kenya, Costa Rica, China, Ghana, South Africa and led human rights education workshops in Guyana, Poland, Slovakia, South Africa, England, Israel and Palestinian territories.
