Overall Objectives: Current research points to a “window of opportunity” for men and women to step away from gender stereotypes that perpetuate historic gender roles. In this intensive, two-part class, participants will learn about evidence-based research on gender differences in leadership and use it to examine how gender affects women’s experience as leaders, their potential for advancement, and how organizational structures and practice support or challenge different types of leadership. Outside readings and peer-to-peer activities will be used to personalize the learning experience.
