The Eleanor M. Luse Center Audiology Clinic, part of UVM's Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, is offering a 10% reduction off the cost of hearing aids selected and fit through the clinic. This limited-time benefit is available to UVM faculty, staff, retirees and their families. Professional fees normally applied (hearing evaluation, hearing aid selection, earmolds, fitting and follow-up) will still be charged.
Savings range from $107 to $307 per hearing aid. The Center will work with individuals to find the best fit for each unique situation, selecting durable equipment from among the best designed, most technologically advanced products. Satisfaction is guaranteed by means of the 45-day return period that is stipulated by Vermont law.
This benefit will be offered through the fiscal year that ends on June 30, 2014. (At which point the program will be reviewed and a decision will be made as to whether it will continue.) An appointment request and submission of required paperwork for hearing evaluation must be completed by June 30, 2014 to be eligible for the benefit. To qualify for the program, the individual seeking a fitting must be enrolled in UVM medical insurance.
