T’ai Chi Chih (pronounced "tie chee chuh") is an easy-to-learn, 20-movement form. Some call it a moving meditation. It’s safe for anyone, regardless of age or physical condition. The purpose of this practice is to circulate and balance the "Chi" or "Vital Force," bringing about an increase in energy, health, balance and joy. [A randomized trial of Tai Chi for fibromyalgia was reported in the New England Journal of Medicine in August of 2010. Although the study was small in scope, the results were considered significant. Marked improvement was seen among study participants in such areas as pain, mood, quality of sleep and exercise capacity.]
