Recruiting Resources Provided to Departments by HRS

  • Provide resources for recruiting departments and answer questions regarding the recruitment process, interviewing, reference checks, assisting individuals with disabilities, etc.

    • Respond to routine applicant inquiries regarding job opportunities and employment at the University.

    • Serve as a resource to applicants for assistance in writing resumes, cover letters, and preparing for interviews.
    • Discuss and confirm job posting details with hiring supervisors.

    • Provide advertising assistance in writing and placing advertisements in local, regional, and national publications and newspapers and Internet job sites.

    • Act as liaison to community organizations and represent the University at community meetings and functions.

    • Act as liaison for temporary employment needs.

    • Update and maintain the Employment Hotline.

    • Update and maintain Employment Opportunities online.

    • Access computerized applicant and position data to provide current information to internal and external customers.

    • Provide training workshops for hiring supervisors and internal applicants
