The Honors College at UVM

Faculty Resources

As you browse the Honors College Web site, you'll find all the "nuts and bolts" information you need to advise, teach, and mentor honors students.

Faculty from a wide range of disciplines teach or guest-lecture in Honors College classes, allowing students to explore subjects ranging from history, philosophy, and mathematics to environmental studies, engineering, education, and health care. Since the Honors College draws its teachers from across the university, all university faculty members are also Honors College faculty. As such, you might work with honors students on research projects, submit proposals to teach honors seminars on special topics, lecture in the college's first-year course, supervise an honors thesis, or participate in a faculty reading group tied to honors course work.

This web site aims to provide you with updates on the college's curriculum, news and events, policies, and more. You are welcome to consult the resources in this section for relevant information and forms. In addition, we invite you to visit web site throughout the year for information on upcoming lectures by noted scholars from both inside and outside UVM. Our goal is to ensure that all of the university's faculty, as well as students and staff, feel welcome to participate in our activities.
