Preservation Field Study Trips
As part of the Contemporary Preservation Policy and Planning course, University of Vermont Historic Preservation Program graduate students typically take week- long field study trip to research preservation projects, sites and conferences around the globe, individually or in groups. Travel and lodging are partially subsidized with funds from the program's endowment.
Students have taken preservation practice research trips to Cuba, Wales, Nicaragua, Mexico, Italy, Poland, Austria, Netherlands, England, Washington, DC, Chicago, Annapolis, Selma, Denver, Forth Worth, Dallas, St. Antonio, Natchez, New Orleans, Detroit, Chicago, Charleston, Key West, Chesapeake Bay, Savannah, Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, San Diego, Kansas City, Old Miami Beach, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Florida, Montreal and Ottawa.
