Counseling Staff

Jenny Stewart (She/her) is a staff counselor at CAPS and a Rostered Psychotherapist in Vermont. She is currently working towards licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician. Her previous clinical experience includes working in a group private practice in Vermont and as a graduate counseling intern at Middlebury College. She strives to create a therapeutic relationship that is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and welcoming for people of all identities. Her clinical interests are broad and include anxiety, depression, identity development, drug and alcohol use and misuse, life transitions, relationship concerns, and collegiate athlete mental health concerns. She draws from multiple theories including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She uses strengths-based methods to connect with individuals and to support them in making changes to their lives. She aims to offer a compassionate environment where students can feel validated and deeply heard.
