DIRECTIONS TO GODDARD COLLEGE

From The North:

Follow Interstate 89 South to exit #8 (Montpelier/Route 2). Follow the exit straight through two traffic lights. At the third light, be sure to be in the left lane, do not turn, and just follow the traffic straight through the light. At the fifth light, again move to the left lane and stay on Route 2. You will pass an Exxon gas station and an Agway on the right. Continue to follow Route 2 until you are in East Montpelier. After passing a Mobil Station on the left, veer right at the blinking light to follow Route 2. After a couple of miles, you will see the sign for Plainfield. Soon after that, turn left on Route 214 North. The Goddard entrance is the first driveway on the left.

From The South:

Follow Interstate 89 North to exit #7 (Berlin; Hospital). Once off the exit, stay in the center lane straight through three traffic lights.

*If you follow the Montpelier sign:

Turn left at the light at the bottom of the hill. You will come to an intersection where you will see a light in front of you and a one- story building on the right with a gravel parking lot. Turn right before the light onto Route 2 East. It is confusing, so if you turn into the parking lot by mistake, it connects to the road you want to be on. Follow Route 2 East until you are in East Montpelier. After passing a Mobil Station on the left, veer right at the blinking light to follow Route 2. After a couple of miles, you will see the sign for Plainfield. Soon after that, turn left on Route 214 North. The Goddard entrance is the first driveway on the left.

*If you follow the Barre sign:

At the traffic light at the bottom of the hill, there will be a combination Shell/ Burger King on your right. Go straight through the light to follow Route 14 North. The road will fork, and you want to veer to the right staying on Route 14 North. You will pass Hope Cemetery on your left. Later, you will pass a storage facility, and then the North Country Credit Union. You will cross a small bridge and come to a stop sign, turn right onto Route 2 East. You will be in East Montpelier. After passing a Mobil Station on the left, veer right at the blinking light to follow Route 2. After a couple of miles, you will see the sign for Plainfield. Soon after that, turn left on Route 214 North. The Goddard entrance is the first driveway on the left.

From The East:

Route 2 can be followed West from as far as Bangor, Maine. This is a rural/truck route and travel time will be slower. Upon entering Vermont, Route 2 will pass through St. Johnsbury (approx. 30 miles from the New Hampshire border) and Marshfield (approx. 8 more miles). Follow Route 2 through Plainfield. Pass the Plainfield General Store (The Red Store) on your right. Soon after that, turn right on Route 214 North. The Goddard entrance is the first driveway on the left.
