Pine Trees
June and Ally
The question: How do the humans that live in the Eastwood area effect
the pine trees in eastwoods?
Our thinking: We thought they would have been greatly effected because
they live in a city.
Steps
1. Pick a healthy large pine tree
2. Construct the corer
3. Drill into the tree and pull out the core
4. wrap the core in straw
5. Count the rings

We had tried to get trees from all the different aresa of the
woods. We had saw that the trees near the road and rail had
sufferened from possibly the chemicals used on the road and the wear
and tear of humans in the area. The results we had gotten from
those trees were discolatiation and they seemed to have more scars in
the wood than the ones in the middle of hte forest. The area near
the stream were able to grow much more tahn any of hte other trees
because they were the closed to the water and they were also exposed to
more sun than sun of hte tothers. They resulted in bigger tree
rings. The are in the middle seemed to have an average of trees
that were inbetween the trees neaar the stream and road.
